FLEX FY26: Financial and Operational Improvement for Mississippi's CAHs

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is seeking a vendor to provide financial and operational improvement services to Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in the state. The selected vendor will conduct a statewide needs assessment, provide financial education, and implement financial and operational improvement projects to address billing and coding, market share, and outmigration analysis. The goal of this project is to improve the overall financial health of Mississippi's CAHs through technical assistance and sustainable action plans. Key services include: • Conducting a statewide needs assessment to identify vulnerable hospitals • Providing financial education and training to hospital CFOs • Implementing financial and operational improvement projects • Conducting chargemaster reviews and market share and outmigration assessments • Providing billing and coding courses The contract is estimated to begin on September 1, 2026, and end on August 31, 2028.
