RFP- Security Automated Gate

The Port of Fernandina (OHPA) is seeking a single contractor to replace and automate terminal security gates. The scope includes removing two existing double‑swing North Rail gate sets, installing new automatic operators on North Rail, South Rail, and South Truck gates, integrating an existing rolling‑gate operator, constructing reinforced concrete pedestals, providing all electrical and low‑voltage work, installing a wireless central control system in the guard shack, and completing programming, testing, and commissioning. The contractor must conduct a site inspection, base proposals on observed conditions, and comply with FDOT grant‑funded contract terms. • Replace two double‑swing North Rail gates and install new automated operators on three gate locations. • Provide reinforced concrete operator pedestals, electrical/low‑voltage wiring, wireless communications, and guard‑shack control interface. • Perform integration with existing rolling‑gate system, programming, testing, and full commissioning of an operational security gate system.
