The Educational Purchasing Interlocal Cooperative at Region 6 (EPIC6) is issuing an indefinite‑delivery, indefinite‑quantity (IDIQ) RFP for security and school‑safety products and services. The five‑year contract (with an annual renewal option) will allow EPIC6 member school districts, cities, counties and other public entities to “piggyback” on the agreement and purchase items such as access‑control hardware, video surveillance systems, alarm and panic‑button devices, metal detectors, two‑way radios, megaphones, and related training or audit services on an as‑needed basis. Vendors must submit a single proposal by October 1, 2026 and will be evaluated on price, availability, delivery capability, and a minimum score of 70 points. The award will designate successful vendors as “approved vendors” for all current and future EPIC6 members, but members are not obligated to purchase. The agreement includes a 1.5 % vendor‑paid fee on invoiced sales and allows EPIC6 to terminate the contract with 30‑day notice. • Scope: Any security‑related hardware, software, or services for K‑12 schools and other public agencies. • Delivery: “As‑needed” purchases throughout the contract period (Nov 1 2026 – Oct 31 2031). • Evaluation: Minimum 70‑point score; factors include price, availability, delivery, and overall value. • Term: 5 years with optional annual renewal; termination possible by either party with notice. • Fee: 1.5 % of invoiced sales paid to EPIC6. • Submission: Electronic proposal due Oct 1 2026 3 PM CT; questions due Sep 22 2026 3 PM CT.
