Description

The University of Georgia is issuing an electronic Request for Quote (eRFQ) to procure laboratory‑grade helium, nitrogen (both low‑ and high‑pressure), and dry‑ice pellets. Suppliers must provide all‑inclusive pricing—including product cost, tank rental, shipping (FOB Destination to Athens, GA), taxes, and any ancillary fees—and meet strict purity and fill‑level requirements. The contract will be an agency‑type agreement with possible renewal options, and the award will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid, though split awards are permitted. • Required products: Helium (99.999 % purity) in 60 L, 100 L, 250 L, 500 L cylinders; Nitrogen (99.999 % purity) in 180 L and 230 L cylinders (both low‑ and high‑pressure); Dry‑ice pellets (10–400 lb). • All pricing must be “all‑inclusive” (product + shipping + taxes + rental) and submitted via the GA@WORK marketplace. • Suppliers must demonstrate an annual helium allocation capable of delivering at least 250 L per month, provide required certifications (non‑collusion, export control, tax compliance, trade‑secret affidavit), and accept the Georgia State Entity Standard Contract.

Budget estimate

$150,000 – $600,000

No contract value is disclosed; however, a university of this size typically spends between a few hundred thousand to over half a million dollars annually on high‑purity gases and dry‑ice. Assuming a multi‑year agency contract with consumption rates typical for research labs, the total award could range from roughly $150,000 to $600,000, depending on volume, rental fees, and price discounts negotiated.
