Intent to Sole Source - Preventative Maintenance

The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (NIH-CC) intends to negotiate a contract with Hill-Rom for the preventative maintenance of Hill-Rom branded hospital equipment. The contract includes the maintenance of overhead lifts, portable/sit-to-stand lifts, and medical gas booms. Hill-Rom is the original equipment manufacturer and has the necessary expertise and resources to provide the required services. • The contract is for a fixed-price contract for preventative maintenance and certification of the equipment. • The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. • Other responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which will be considered by the Government.
