Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance to its facilities’ fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems. The contractor will be responsible for performing recurring maintenance, testing, and inspections at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center and the Lawton Main Outpatient Clinic. The contract will have a base year and four option years, with a total period of performance of five years. The contractor will be required to provide a monthly inspection service, investigate and troubleshoot active trouble codes, and provide a detailed summary report of the issues identified and the root causes for each of the individual trouble codes. The contractor will also be required to provide quotes to fix issues identified on the monthly service inspection outside of the regular quarterly inspection per code. Some key points to consider are: • The contractor must render all maintenance, testing, and inspections during the respective calendar months. • The contractor must notify the VA’s COR and relevant stakeholders 14 days in advance with an Outlook invite and email describing the services being rendered as well as the location. • The contractor must prepare a comprehensive summary within 14 days after the most recent quarterly, annual, or semi-annual service. • The contractor must provide a detailed deficiency list upon completion of each inspection cycle at the same time as the formal report’s delivery to the VA. • The contractor shall have access to some privileged and confidential materials of VA, which are for internal use only and are not to be copied or released without permission.
