Fiber Services

Savannah State University is seeking a qualified supplier to provide fiber services to the campus. The contract will be for one year with four potential renewals. The supplier will be responsible for providing symmetrical internet services, coordinating access and interoffice circuits, and ensuring the interoperability of all components. The supplier must also provide a minimum service availability of 99.98% and activate the service by December 1, 2025. • The supplier will provide a dedicated, symmetrical internet service of bandwidth size 500 MBPS X 500 MBPS Layer 3 for the Coastal Georgia Center. • The supplier will provide a dedicated, symmetrical internet service of bandwidth size 5 GPBS X 5 GBPS Layer 3 for the Student Internet Service. • The supplier will provide a dedicated, symmetrical internet service of bandwidth size 2 GPBS X 2 GBPS Layer 3 for the eSports Service. • The supplier must coordinate all access and interoffice circuits and the installation of any equipment, cabling, or other items associated with the service. • The supplier must provide a minimum service availability of 99.98% as measured on a monthly basis at each connection in the system.
