Notice to Contractors - 2026 Waterline Improvements

The City of Hays, Kansas is inviting sealed bids for the construction of the 2026 Waterline Improvements project. The project consists of 1449 feet of 8” waterline along 23rd Street from Lincoln Draw to Fort Street, as well as concrete pavement replacement along the waterline in the amount of 2,032 SY. The project also includes the replacement of 1 existing fire hydrant setting at the intersection of Plum Street & 23rd Street. Bids will be opened at 3:00 pm on April 28, 2026. • The project requires the construction of 1449 feet of 8” waterline along 23rd Street from Lincoln Draw to Fort Street. • The project includes concrete pavement replacement along the waterline in the amount of 2,032 SY. • The project includes the replacement of 1 existing fire hydrant setting at the intersection of Plum Street & 23rd Street. • Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's check, a certified check or a bid bond, payable to the City of Hays, Kansas, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. • The bidder to whom a contract is awarded in excess of $100,000.00 will be required to furnish a Contract Bond and Payment Bond executed on the specific forms and acceptable to the City of Hays, Kansas, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount Bid.
