Description
The City of Lynchburg, Procurement Division is seeking bids for the installation of a new Kolpak Walk-In Freezer at Linkhorne Middle School. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of the existing freezer, installation of the new freezer and its related components, and all necessary electrical connections. The successful bidder will be required to provide a 10-year defect warranty for all panels and a 1-year parts and labor warranty with an extended 4-year limited compressor warranty.
• The walk-in freezer must be manufactured by Kolpak/Welbilt, Parsons, TN.
• The refrigeration system must be installed with current R454A refrigerant and started up and run to the satisfaction of the Owner.
• The awarded contractor shall perform the scope of work between December 22, 2025, and January 2, 2026, contingent upon lead time for equipment.
• The awarded contractor is required to pull all necessary permits and supply a construction dumpster.
• All work must be in accordance with local and national codes and inspected and approved by City of Lynchburg, Virginia code officials.
