This contract funds the design‑build upgrade of electric power generation and distribution systems in the remote Alaskan villages of Nikolai and Venetie, along with a new bulk‑fuel storage and dispensing facility at Venetie. The scope includes installing new generators, transformers, switchgear, overhead and underground distribution, civil site work, fuel‑system tanks, pipelines, and associated mechanical/electrical controls, while de‑commissioning existing infrastructure. The project is funded by the Denali Commission and the State of Alaska, and is awarded on a firm‑fixed‑price basis to a single contractor.
• Comprehensive power‑system upgrade for two villages (new generation equipment, distribution upgrades, UPS, telecommunications).
• Bulk‑fuel upgrade at Venetie (new above‑ground UL‑142/UL‑2085 tanks, secondary containment, pump and dispenser installation).
• Project schedule targets substantial completion of power systems by early 2023 and final completion of all work by October 2023.
