The Sedona Fire District initiated a request for qualifications (RFQ) process to evaluate and select an architect and construction manager at risk (CMAR) for the construction of the uptown Sedona Station 4. The RFQ process involved evaluating and selecting a firm from a list of submitting firms based on their alignment with the District’s operational priorities and understanding of the specific challenges posed by the project. The selected firms were chosen based on their technical proficiency, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate and adapt to the District’s needs.
• The RFQ process consisted of three phases: Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3.
• The selection criteria included project understanding and approach, firm experience and qualifications, key personnel, and general information.
• The selected firms were required to provide a presentation and answer follow-up questions.
• The Sedona Fire District adhered to a transparent, qualifications-based selection process consistent with Arizona Revised Statutes and District procurement policies.
