The Citadel awarded a five‑year, maximum‑value $500,000 contract to ECOFLO, Inc. for comprehensive hazardous and non‑hazardous waste collection, transport, and disposal services across the campus. The contractor must hold all required federal, state, and local permits, provide DOT‑compliant containers, and issue manifests for each shipment. Service frequency is quarterly or as requested, covering batteries, fluorescent/HID bulbs, lead pellets, medical waste, used oil, and various laboratory chemicals. The agreement includes a one‑year base period with four one‑year renewal options, automatic renewal unless the State gives 30‑day notice, and a 2 % price‑forgiveness preference for South Carolina‑resident vendors.
