TPD Crime Lab Consulting Services

The City of Tucson has awarded a contract to JLC Forensics LLC for consulting services related to the Tucson Police Department Crime Lab. The contract includes a review and overhaul of the Training Manual and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Manual for the Seized Drugs Unit. The contractor will provide consulting services, including case file review, hands-on training, and competency testing of staff. The contract has a term of 5 years, with the option for renewal. The total payment under this contract shall not exceed $100,000. • The contract includes a one-time payment of $2,500 for the review and overhaul of the Crime Lab Training Manual and SOP Manual. • The contractor will be paid $60 per billable hour. • The City reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time, with or without cause, upon giving 30 days written notice. • The contract includes provisions for payment, termination, and warranties, among other terms and conditions.
