Zoning Ordinance Update Consulting Services

The County of Calaveras is seeking a consultant to update its zoning ordinance. The selected consultant will conduct a public process to develop a new zoning ordinance that incorporates a mix of form-based standards, performance-based standards, incentives, and conventional zoning standards. The consultant will work with county staff and the public to develop a zoning ordinance that meets the county's goals, which include implementing General Plan policies, eliminating inconsistencies and poorly defined terminology, and creating an intuitive and user-friendly document. The contract is expected to commence after the Board of Supervisors hears the item on August 11, 2020.
