Waste Characterization Study

The City and Borough of Juneau has awarded a contract to Cascadia Consulting Group, Inc. for a waste characterization study. The study aims to determine the percent composition by weight or volume of compostable materials, reusable items, and recyclables in the municipal solid waste stream received at the Capital Disposal Landfill. The contract includes a notice to proceed, which allows the vendor to begin work on the project. The final reports, including appendices, are due by June 28, 2024.
