Description
The County of Butte sought a firm to redevelop the County's Fairgrounds property. The goal of this solicitation process was to identify a qualified firm that could present and implement a viable redevelopment scenario for the Fairgrounds. The RFP was cancelled due to no responsive proposals being received. Key aspects of the project included maximizing job production, benefits to the community, and minimizing costs to the County, while accommodating the Butte County Fair each year.
• The RFP was issued on August 9, 2017, with a deadline for submissions on September 29, 2017.
• A non-mandatory on-site meeting was held on August 24, 2017.
• The County received numerous questions about the request for proposals but no responsive proposals were received.
• The County has chosen to collapse the solicitation and will not award a contract or development agreement.
