CalWORKs Housing Support Program

The County of Fresno, Department of Social Services, is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide housing support services for the California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Housing Support Program. The program aims to provide rapid rehousing services to CalWORKs families experiencing homelessness. The contract was awarded to two vendors, Centro La Familia Advocacy Services, Inc. and the Housing Authority of the City of Fresno, who will work together to provide services. The contract period is 3 years and 4 months, starting from March 1, 2020. • The program will provide housing search and placement services, case management, and housing financial assistance to families. • The vendors will work together to leverage their strengths and provide comprehensive services to the clients. • The contract has a total allocation funding for two contracts, and the Department has determined that the selected vendors can provide services in alignment with local needs and CDSS requirements.
