Sun Tran NW-BMF Compressed Natural Gas Plant Installation- FTA Funded

The City of Tucson is seeking a contractor to construct a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Plant for the Sun Tran Northwest Bus Maintenance Facility. The project includes the installation of a CNG fueling system, as well as other related work. The contract is valued at over $10,000,000 and is funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The contractor will be required to complete the work within 270 consecutive calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. The City of Tucson is exempt from federal excise tax, but not from sales tax. The contractor will be required to provide insurance coverage, including workers' compensation and general liability insurance. • The project requires the contractor to work on an active facility with minimal disruptions to the City of Tucson's operations. • The contractor must coordinate with the City's Contract Representative to ensure that the work is completed on time and within budget. • The contractor must provide a formal time extension request letter to the City's Contract Representative if the work cannot be completed within the specified timeframe. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance coverage, including workers' compensation and general liability insurance, before commencing work on the project. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and workplace safety.
