The County of Fresno, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide an employability training program that reduces barriers to employment and increases self-sufficiency. The selected vendor will operate the program in conjunction with County partners, including the Department of Social Services, Child Support, the Public Defender's Office, and the District Attorney's Office. The program aims to develop participants' soft skills, build confidence, and provide necessary self-awareness and employment-related training. The contract is for two years, with an optional one-year renewal.
• The program will serve two tracks of participants: Track I for those with multiple barriers to employment and Track II for those with minimal barriers.
• The program will be delivered remotely or in-person at two office locations in Fresno County.
• The selected vendor will partner with local employers and community-based organizations to assist clients in obtaining employment and removing employment barriers.
• The program will include a curriculum that balances online and in-person services, with office hours from 8 am-5 pm and late night and weekend hours available.
• The vendor will provide lending of chromebooks and hotspots to clients who do not have access to the required technology.
