Description
The City of Milpitas issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for preventive generator maintenance services. The IFB was posted on May 3, 2019, and bids were due by May 17, 2019. However, all bids were rejected due to a change in the scope of work, and the City will rebid the project shortly. The contract requires the contractor to perform preventive maintenance on generators, and the City will provide additional maintenance sites to the solicitation. The contractor must be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in one of the following appropriate classification(s) of contractor's license(s).
• The contractor must pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable Labor Code provisions.
• The contractor must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work.
• The contractor must maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the project.
