Backflow Preventer Testing Services

The City of Olathe is seeking qualified contractors to provide backflow preventer testing services. The successful contractors will be responsible for testing approximately 2,200 pressure vacuum breaker (PVB) and/or reduced pressure zone (RPZ) and/or double check valve (DCV) backflow preventers annually. The contract includes two line items: backflow preventer testing and trip charge. The contract was awarded to three vendors: Jayhawk Fire Sprinkler, Rand Construction Company, and Turf Design, Inc. • The contract includes backflow preventer testing services for residential and commercial sites throughout the City of Olathe. • The successful contractors will not perform repairs to backflow preventers under this contract. • The City reserves the right to award to multiple contractors. • The contract has a total value of $110,150.00 for Jayhawk Fire Sprinkler, $385,150.00 for Rand Construction Company, and $143,065.00 for Turf Design, Inc.
