The Cleveland Metroparks issued an RFQ for a construction manager at risk for the Tiger Exhibit Rehabilitation at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The project includes the linking and renovation of existing grottos and the creation of expansive and innovative tiger habitat. The rehabilitated exhibit will provide amenities such as water features, intimate encounter areas, public viewing decks, new walkways, landscaping, wayfinding, and interpretive signage. The design of the rehabilitated exhibit will incorporate LEED design principles and complement the existing bear exhibit. The contract was awarded to Panzica Construction Co., who was ranked as the "best value" by the review panel. The contract includes a preconstruction services fee of $8,000 and a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract.
