Description
This public‑works contract awards a single‑source fixed‑price construction effort to replace and upgrade the South Worcester Playground (Phase III). The scope includes demolition of existing amenities, extensive earthwork, installation of new basketball and handball courts with sports lighting, new site lighting, electrical service upgrades, bituminous and concrete flatwork, chain‑link fencing, and associated site amenities. An optional Alternate #1 covers renovation of the existing playground safety surfacing, equipment removal, and granite block modifications. The project must commence July 1 2026 and be substantially completed by May 30 2027, with a one‑year warranty on all work.
