CONSULTANT FOR INFORMATION SECURITY AUDIT PROJECT

The County of Sacramento issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) #8355 to solicit proposals from qualified Information Security consultants to conduct a high-level assessment of the Department of Technology (DTech) information security program, including IT security practices, systems, and processes, and to develop a 3-year strategic plan based on the results of the assessment. The contract was awarded to Hewlett Packard Enterprises. The project involves identifying gaps in the security profile program and developing a plan to improve and strengthen the DTech information security program. • The RFP was posted on Mar 1, 2016, and the bid submission date was Apr 4, 2016. • A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference was held on Mar 10, 2016. • The contract is for a consultant to conduct an information security audit project. • The County of Sacramento provides a wide range of services to more than 34 diverse County Departments as well as Special Districts and external partners. • The Department of Technology (DTech) is the centralized IT Department for the County of Sacramento.
