C-101020 RFP 37-22 - Facilitation and Coordination of Large-Scale Community-Based Neighborhood Tree Activities

This contract is for the facilitation and coordination of large-scale community-based neighborhood tree activities. The contractor, Friends of Trees, will provide services such as planning, scheduling, and managing tree planting and pruning events, as well as negotiating with nurseries and purchasing trees. The contract has a term of one year, with the option for up to four one-year extensions. The total contract value is not to exceed $1,500,000. The contractor will be paid on a monthly basis, with payments due net 30 days. The contract includes provisions for termination, indemnification, and insurance. Some key points of this contract include: • Planning, scheduling and managing tree planting/pruning events • Negotiating the best price with nurseries • Purchasing and supplying trees for the project • Providing stewardship services to ensure proper planting and establishment • Creating social marketing campaigns and signing up participants/volunteers/arborists • Securing additional funding through sponsorships • Delivering materials and arranging disposal of debris • Caring for trees through coordination/education of property owners • Monitoring trees through at least the first summer
