Emergency - Tampa Rd. Sinkhole Geophysical Investigation

This contract is for a geophysical investigation of a sinkhole collapse feature on the north bank of Cow Creek channel adjacent to Tampa Road in Lake St. George area. The investigation will be conducted in two phases: Phase 1 will include geophysical mapping using Multi-channel Electrical Resistivity (MER) and Multi-channel Analysis of Shear Wave (MASW) methods, while Phase 2 will involve remediation of the sinkhole collapse feature and its associated solution channel(s). The contract was awarded to NS Nettles & Associates Inc for a total of $16,100. • The geophysical investigation will include MER and MASW profiles to delineate the karst features and identify the subsurface solution channel(s) associated with the sinkhole feature. • The remediation program will be supervised by NS Nettles & Associates Inc and will include construction specifications, bidding process, and contractor selection. • The contract has a duration of 30 days and is expected to be completed by July 11, 2021. • The contract includes a provision for payment, with invoices due 10 days from receipt. • The contract also includes a provision for sovereign immunity and limitations of F.S. 768.28.
