Laramie County Community College is seeking to purchase a smart manufacturing trainer to introduce and reinforce concepts of Industry 4.0. The trainer should be able to fit in a 20' x 15' workspace, have power requirements not exceeding 208 VAC, and include elements such as industrial maintenance, robotics, control software, and quality control. The trainer should also be supported by a robust e-learning system for traditional, hybrid, and remote learning scalability options. The key elements of the proposed training center include emulation of manufacturing using real industrial equipment, a system that manufactures real products, and a flexible manufacturing environment for students to practice and research.
• Emulation of manufacturing using real, full-size industrial equipment
• System that manufactures real products
• Process with advanced manufacturing components used in smart factories and Industry 4.0
• Flexible manufacturing environment for students to practice and research
• Integration of machining, robotics, PLC automation, software, smart sensors, IoT, and data analytics
• Alignment with curriculum and teaching labs that lead to certification/credentials
