Description
The City of Olathe is seeking to purchase a used hydraulic excavator for the Utilities Maintenance Division of Public Works. The excavator will be used for sanitary sewer replacement, manhole replacement, water, wastewater, and stormwater maintenance. The contract includes the purchase of one used hydraulic excavator and an extended warranty.
• The City of Olathe has been renting a 2010 Caterpillar 308D CR SB hydraulic excavator for nine months and is interested in purchasing a machine.
• The rented machine has logged approximately 750 hours of use as of October 31, 2011.
• The City is looking for a machine that is comparable to the rented unit.
