B--STABLE LI ISOTOPE ANALYSES

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified businesses capable of providing stable LI isotope analyses. The objective is to collect geochemical data from 15 powdered rock samples and determine their δ7Li values. The work requires the use of reference standards to monitor the reliability of the new numerical data generated. The deliverable is a spreadsheet with rows and columns of numerical data, including a column with the δ7Li values for all 15 samples. • The contractor will be responsible for dissolving, purifying, and measuring the samples on a mass spectrometer. • The contractor will be required to use reference standards to monitor the reliability of the new numerical data generated. • The deliverable is a spreadsheet with numerical data, including δ7Li values for all 15 samples. • The period of performance is 180 days from the award date.
