Private Well Repair & Construction in Southeast Minnesota

The goal of this effort is to protect sources of drinking water (private wells) for residents located in eight southeastern Minnesota counties, by providing private well repair and new well construction for households with nitrate-nitrogen concentrations that cannot be addressed adequately with point of use water treatment systems. The eight counties included are Dodge, Fillmore, Goodhue, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha, and Winona. The project involves various tasks such as well construction, well abandonment, well maintenance, and repair, as well as the installation of submersible pumps and pressure tanks. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all work is done in accordance with the Minnesota Well Code and other relevant regulations. • The project includes the construction of new wells and the repair of existing wells. • The contractor will be required to provide all necessary equipment and personnel to complete the project. • The project will involve working with various stakeholders, including homeowners and government agencies. • The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all work is done in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. • The project will require compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to labor, environmental protection, and public health.
