The United States Geological Survey (USGS) is seeking a laboratory capable of performing simultaneous measurements of Delta-O-18 (δ¹⁸O), Delta-C-13 (δ¹³C), and Delta-N-15 (δ¹⁵N) in powdered Calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) samples. The laboratory must be able to process CaCO3 material and make measurements using SIR-MS. The USGS staff will hand-deliver samples to the laboratory and may assist with weighing samples and standards, loading into reaction vessels, encapsulating in tin boats, arranging samples into sample trays, and/or operating the IRMS under supervision of laboratory personnel. The contract is expected to last for five years, with no fewer than 2000 and no more than 5000 samples expected to be analyzed during this period.
