Candice Shanks, 510.238.7565, [email protected] provide multiple departments within the City of Oakland with brand-new uniforms, measuring eachemployee, fitting, hemming at the start of the contract; sometimes annual, re-fitting of employeesand the ability to accommodate new hires within a set timeframe. The contractor will scheduleweekly pickup of soiled uniforms and delivery of clean, pressed uniforms. The contractor willperform ongoing maintenance, including repairing, sewing, and replacing torn or damaged uniforms atno extra cost. The contractor will manage inventory, tracking each employee’s uniforms (e.g., 11sets are common, or 1 week of wear, 1 week at cleaner, 1 spare) to ensure consistent, reliable, andavailable stock. Worn-out or damaged uniforms must be replaced with new or "A" grade (high-quality)garments during the contract period. Uniforms must be returned clean, hygienic, and properlyrepaired to maintain safety and health protocols. Uniform Laundry Services will be encumbered byvarious Departments Citywide.Award will be made to a single vendor based on the lowest, most responsive, and responsible bid.The initial term shall be for three (3) years. At the City’s sole discretion, the contract may be renewedfor up to two (2) additional one-year terms, for a total contract term not to exceed five (5) years.The City of Oakland invites your firm to submit a bid to fully provide the goods and or services described herein.This Request for Quotation and any subsequent contract award will be in strict accordance with the documents identified below: (Offeror should check and be sure that they have received all documents and should follow the instructions contained within this RFQ when preparing their bid. Any addendum thatmaterially changes the RFQ solicitation shall be issued no less than 72 hours before the proposaldeadline unless the deadline is extended by said addendum.
