Description
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is seeking a data management solution to facilitate the transmission of laboratory test requests and results between Public Health Laboratories (PHLs) in California. The solution should provide a web-based user-interface for manual submission of test requests, viewing of status messages, administration, and more. The system should be able to handle a large volume of test requests and results, with the ability to scale up to 1,000 times during emergencies. The ideal system would be operational on or before 11/01/2027.
Some key features of the desired solution include:
• Ability to accept test requests from PHLs through standardized data exchange methodologies
• Ability to investigate the test request, identify the target laboratory, and translate the formatting of the test request
• Ability to deliver the request message to the target laboratory and handle acknowledgment and test result messages
• Web-based user-interface for manual submission of test requests, viewing of status messages, administration, and more
• Ability to scale up to 1,000 times during emergencies
• Compliance with applicable security standards, regulations, and policies
