Car Washing Services

The County of San Mateo is seeking a qualified vendor to provide vehicle and related cleaning services for County-owned and/or leased vehicles on an as-needed basis. The services may include exterior washing, interior cleaning, detailing, or other related services. The County is looking for a vendor that delivers consistent quality, competitive pricing, and fast service across the cleaning of a wide range of County vehicles. The ideal vendor offers great quality of work, clear communication, and the capacity to handle the County's requirements. The contract term is three years with two optional one-year extensions. • The vendor will be responsible for taking proper care of and protecting the condition of the vehicle on which service(s) are being performed. • The vendor shall furnish all labor, cleansers, materials, and equipment for the complete cleaning of County vehicles. • The vehicles shall include cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, and vans unless the vehicle does not fit in the car wash building/structure. • The vendor shall provide vehicle washing, cleaning, and related services at one or more of the following locations, as authorized by the County: Proposer Facility, Mobile Service Locations, or County Designated Facilities. • The vendor shall exercise care when cleaning vehicles with decals, antennas, emergency lighting, cameras, sensors, charging ports, partitions, cages, mounted equipment, racks, toolboxes, or other specialized features.
