Swan Creek Channel Restoration Phase 2

The Swan Creek Channel Restoration Phase 2 project involves the improvement of Swan Creek between 64th Street East and Pioneer Way East, located within Swan Creek Park. The project requires the installation of engineered log structures, stream isolation, flow diversion, and localized dewatering. The work also includes selective clearing, re-incorporation of salvage woody material, establishing and restoring staging and access areas, traffic control, trail closure, erosion and sediment control, invasive weed removal, seeding, and revegetation. • The project is located within two separate jurisdictions, Pierce County and the City of Tacoma. • The work will be constructed below the Ordinary High-Water Mark (OHWM) and shall be completed within the permit-specified in-water work windows. • The project requires personnel with demonstrable experience in successful stream channel construction. • The bidder must propose the total percentage of construction aggregate and concrete materials to be incorporated into the project that are recycled materials.
