Medical Service Provisions for Arrestees

The City of Santa Monica is seeking a qualified firm to provide medical service provisions for arrestees, including pre-booking medical clearances, blood withdrawals, and management of the Department's Naloxone HCI (Narcan) Program. The selected firm will be required to provide medical staff coverage at request of the City, courtroom testimonies, and other related services. The contract will be for an initial term of 5 years, with the option for renewal. Key services include: • Medical screening evaluations for arrestees • Blood withdrawals in connection with driving under the influence investigations • Administration and management of the Naloxone HCI (Narcan) Program • Reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing • Communicable disease exposure testing and counseling • Medical staff coverage at request of the City • Courtroom testimonies The City is looking for a firm with experience in providing similar services, particularly in a law enforcement setting. The selected firm will be required to comply with the City's Living Wage Ordinance and other applicable laws and regulations.
