Description
The San Francisco Community College District is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the storefront doors on the Harry Britt Building. The work includes demolition of existing doors, supply and installation of new FRP doors with tempered insulated glass, fire‑rated frames, electrical continuous hinges, low‑voltage CAT‑6 cabling, and related hardware. The project also requires a site‑specific Cal‑OSHA safety plan, compliance with EPA demolition disposal guidelines, and extensive bonding and certification documentation.
• Demolition of existing doors, disposal per EPA rules, retain sub‑frame wiring.
• Supply & install single (36×90 in) and double (72×90 in) FRP doors with 1‑in tempered insulated glass; field‑verify dimensions.
• Install electric continuous hinges (Von Duprin EPT Model 10) and Grade 1 continuous hinges, plus low‑voltage CAT‑6 runs (~250 ft).
• Provide fire‑rated door frames, de‑commission existing ADA push‑buttons, and install blank wall plates.
• Include a $25,000 owner‑controlled adjustment allowance and price an optional alternate for seven automatic operator doors.
