Description
The County is seeking a qualified contractor to replace the cooling tower, chiller, pumps, and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at the Missoula County Detention Facility, including an optional water‑cooled chiller add‑on. The scope covers demolition of existing equipment, drilling and installing a new groundwater supply and injection well, installing flat‑plate heat exchangers, glycol feeder units, new temperature controls, complete electrical work, and coordination of all sub‑contracts. The project must comply with Montana prevailing‑wage rules, retain all records for three years, and include performance and bid bonds.
• Demolition of existing cooling tower, chiller, boiler, pumps, and related piping.
• Installation of new groundwater supply/injection wells, sub‑mersible pump, and buried piping (minimum 6‑ft cover).
• Installation of a new water‑cooled chiller (optional alternate) with associated pumps, heat exchangers, VFDs, and control system integration.
• Full electrical upgrades, testing, commissioning, and warranty documentation.
