Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. for PacBio sequencing reagents. The NIH Intramural Sequencing Center (NISC) requires these reagents to meet sequencing demands, and they must be compatible with the Pacific Biosciences Revio sequencer. • The reagents include SMRT cells and sequencing reagents that are specially configured for the instrument and the requirements of a run. • Library reagents include specialized adapters and enzymes that are proprietary to Pacific Biosciences. • The notice is not a request for competitive quotes, but small businesses may submit a written capability statement to demonstrate their ability to perform the requirement. • An award will be issued approximately ten days after the date of the notice unless the Government determines that another vendor has the capability to meet this requirement.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific amount. However, considering the context of the notice and the fact that it is a firm-fixed-price purchase order, the budget is likely to be in the range of a few hundred thousand dollars to a few million dollars. This estimate is based on the assumption that the purchase order is for a significant quantity of PacBio sequencing reagents, which are specialized and proprietary products. The actual budget may be influenced by factors such as the volume of reagents required, the duration of the contract, and the negotiating power of the vendor.
