Process Area Upgrades

The Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) is soliciting statements of qualification from firms interested in providing professional services for the Process Area Upgrades project. The selected firm will create contract documents to replace two truck scales, modernize or replace freight elevators, and repurpose existing spaces in the Dewatering Building and Energy Recovery Facility as Women's Locker Rooms. The project is expected to start on April 1, 2026, and be completed by December 31, 2027. • The project involves replacing two truck scales in the Sludge Processing Building with newer models that support the Weighmaster software platform. • The project involves modernizing or replacing freight elevators in the Sludge Processing Building, Dewatering Building, and Energy Recovery Facility. • The project involves repurposing existing spaces in the Dewatering Building and Energy Recovery Facility as Women's Locker Rooms. • The selected firm will provide Services During Construction, which will include standard Construction Administration activities. • The project schedule is subject to change, and the official schedule will be included in the service authorization.
