Description
The Middlesex County Fire Academy is seeking bids for water pump maintenance and repairs at their facility located at 1001 Fire Academy Drive, Sayreville, NJ. The work includes removing and replacing a jockey pump, furnishing and installing adapters and couplings, and flow testing fire hydrants. The successful bidder will be required to perform the work in accordance with NFPA 25 and IFCNJ standards. The contract period is for 12 months, and the method of award will be based on the lowest total lump sum amount.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Removing and replacing one existing jockey pump
• Furnishing and installing one 8” flange x groove adapter and one 8” ductile flange x grooved adapter
• Removing and replacing 8” S10 piping
• Furnishing and installing one 8” grooved coupling
• Flow testing sixteen fire hydrants
The bidder must demonstrate experience in maintaining sprinkler system equipment and possess the necessary certifications, including a valid Level II certification issued by NICET.
