Description
Caltrans is seeking multiple qualified title and escrow firms to serve as on‑call, as‑needed providers for real‑property acquisitions in Del Norte County. The contract will be a multi‑provider, request‑based agreement where Caltrans issues service requests for individual parcels, and the awarded firms perform title searches, prepare title opinions, provide escrow administration, and handle reconveyances and related recording tasks. The work is limited to Del Norte County and requires a current Title and Escrow license from the California Department of Insurance. No subcontracting is allowed, and firms must meet insurance and bonding requirements.
• Core services: preliminary title reports, title searches, title insurance issuance, litigation guarantees, escrow administration, reconveyance facilitation, and recording of documents.
• Performance timeline: each service request must be completed within 30‑90 days (typically 30 days for reports and insurance, 30‑90 days for escrow closure).
• Contract term: new orders can be placed from May 1 2026 through April 30 2029 (three‑year ordering period) with the agreement potentially extending to April 30 2031 for existing open orders.
