On-Call Planning Services

The County of Santa Cruz is seeking qualified planning consultants to provide on-call planning services. The selected consultants will assist the County's Community Development & Infrastructure Department (CDI)-Planning Division with various planning projects, including long-range planning, environmental review, and development code amendments. The consultants will work on an as-needed basis, and the County intends to create a Qualified Vendor List of consultants for up to three years. The scope of work includes four categories: Land Use Planning, Environmental Review, Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems Expertise, and Public Engagement & Training. • Land Use Planning: development of zoning, land use, and design standards, preparation of ordinances, and assistance with preparation of staff reports • Environmental Review: environmental review of projects under CEQA and preparation of CEQA documents • Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems Expertise: development of regulations and requirements for on-site wastewater treatment systems • Public Engagement & Training: conducting public workshops and stakeholder meetings, preparation of summary presentation materials, and preparation of materials and delivery of training for County staff
