Cancelled -- Upgrades and Additions to Media Innovation Center

The State University of New York (SUNY) is seeking a request for qualifications to upgrade and expand the Media Innovation Center at SUNY Old Westbury. The project includes various tasks such as electrical services, renovation of Studio B, enhancement of the campus newsroom, upgrade of the radio station, and improvements to Studio A, among others. The procurement budget for the project is between $1,000,000.00 and $1,400,000.00. The contract term is 180 days. • Electrical services to condition the entire facility and enhance protection from surges • Renovation of Studio B for emerging media technology • Enhancement of the campus newsroom with windows, wireless network, and technology for news gathering and production • Upgrade of the radio station with new technology, equipment, and furniture • Improvements to Studio A, including soundproofing, acoustic upgrades, and camera upgrades • Development of a digital network infrastructure • Creation of field production kits for student media productions • Technology upgrades and physical design improvements to the TV studio control room • Completion of the podcasting studio • General technical and physical improvements throughout the center
