Barbers, Cosmetologists, and Tax Preparers Licensing Exam Services

The Department of Labor (MD Labor) is seeking a vendor to provide licensing examination services for barbers, cosmetologists, and tax preparers. The selected vendor will be responsible for administering online and written examinations, developing examination content, and providing candidate support services. The contract will be for a three-year base period with one two-year renewal option. The vendor must have experience in providing similar services and meet certain minimum qualifications, including having a current National College Testing Association (NCTA) certification or equivalent. Some key responsibilities of the vendor include: * Processing and managing applications for examinations * Ensuring examination site information is readily available online for all candidates * Collecting and processing payments for examination services * Providing written instructions for taking the examination * Ensuring communications are written in an easy-to-understand manner * Providing meaningful access to services for individuals who may not speak English as their primary language
