ORGANIC WASTE PROCESSING SERVICES

The City of Lompoc is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide organic waste processing services, including composting, marketing, and data reporting. The successful bidder will be selected based on their experience, qualifications, pricing, and ability to meet the City's needs. The contract will be for a term to be determined, with an option to renew. The City is looking for a contractor who can provide a comprehensive service, including transportation, processing, and marketing of organic waste. • The City's organic waste collection program includes green waste and food scraps from residential and commercial customers. • The contractor will be responsible for providing a facility to process the organic waste, as well as marketing and selling the composted product. • The City is required to procure a defined amount of Recovered Organic Waste (ROW) annually, and the contractor will be expected to assist the City in meeting this target. • The contractor will be required to provide monthly reports, including information on the amount of organic waste received, processed, and sold. • The contractor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental health and safety.
