Sheet feeders, sheet folders, and ironers for University Laundry

The University of Iowa is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to furnish and oversee the installation of replacement sheet feeders, sheet folders, and small-piece ironers for University Laundry operations. The University requires the supplier to provide detailed information demonstrating their ability to meet or exceed the specifications for the equipment and associated services, including installation, startup, and warranty. The supplier must also provide information on their unique qualifications to provide Chicago brand products and associated install work. • The University is requesting the following Chicago and Imperial equipment and associated services: • Chicago Skyline S-16 Folder/Crossfolder • Chicago King Edge CT Cornerless Feeding System with Dual Inputs • Imperial 232 Steam 32x2 Ironer Base • Century 5200 IS – 1-Roll Steam Base • The supplier must provide pricing for the original S-16 request, including the sheet stacker conveyor, and any alternative solutions that offer the same functionality with the added capability of stacking smaller pieces. • The supplier must also provide information on their customer service capabilities, including hours of availability, average wait time, customer satisfaction, and escalation process. • The University prefers suppliers who can provide electronic payment options and who are located within convenient proximity to campus. • The supplier must agree to the University's Business Associate Agreement and provide a written certification that a background check has been performed on all assigned supplier and subcontractor personnel. • The supplier must also provide information on their experience in providing sheet feeders, sheet folders, and small-piece ironers, particularly in servicing universities or colleges. • The University reserves the right to decline substitute products if they do not align with the current product needs. • The supplier must provide a detailed description of their service response process, including how requests are received, prioritized, and addressed. • The supplier must also provide information on their ability to participate in meetings with the University and their recommended frequency of meetings.
