RFQ for City Surveyor Services

The City of Watsonville is seeking a qualified firm to provide professional surveying services in the capacity of the Consulting City Surveyor. The selected firm will be responsible for reviewing parcel and final subdivision maps, signing the Consulting City Surveyor statement or certificate, and supporting the City's technical engineering staff in professional surveying related matters. The firm will also be required to prepare legal descriptions of real property and perform topographic and boundary surveys as needed. The contract will be on an as-needed basis, and the City does not guarantee a minimum amount of work. The firm must have experience in providing similar services and must be licensed to practice civil engineering or land surveying in California. • The firm will be required to provide a statement of qualifications, including a description of the firm's experience and qualifications, a description of the firm's approach to the work, and a list of the firm's standard charges for personnel and services. • The firm will be evaluated based on its experience, qualifications, and approach to the work, as well as its ability to provide quality services and achieve the objectives of the City. • The contract will be for a term of one year, with the option to extend for up to three years. • The firm must comply with the City's Conflict of Interest Code and provide evidence of insurance coverage in the amounts specified in the solicitation.
