Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking sources to provide Medical Gas System Inspection and Services to VA medical facilities and clinics. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and certifying medical gas systems, including piped oxygen, nitrous oxide, nitrogen, medical air, dental air, medical vacuum, dental vacuum, and evacuation/waste anesthetic gas disposal systems. The contractor will also provide reports, remediation/repairs, service calls, and system shutdowns/standbys as needed.
• The contractor must have ASSE 6000 series certifications and comply with NFPA 99, Joint Commission, and VHA Directive 7515 requirements.
• The contractor must be able to provide service for a significant portion of the Western States Network Consortium catchment area.
• The contractor must have experience with inspecting and maintaining medical gas systems in healthcare facilities.
• The contractor must be able to provide a sample of a previous inspection report that includes inventory, findings, and compliance statements.
• The contractor must be able to be on-site for a system shutdown/standby with a minimum lead time of 7 business days.
