Description
The Plainwell Community Schools is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a school bus loop and parking lot at Cooper Elementary School. The project includes complete construction and renovations necessary for the school bus loop and parking lot, encompassing all labor, materials, and permits as indicated in the drawings and specifications. The goal of this project is to enhance safety during drop-off and pick-up times throughout the school day.
Some key tasks and requirements of the project include:
• Removal of sod and clay to install class 2 sand compact and crushed concrete grade
• Installation of new drive-through in front of the parking lot
• Removal of concrete as needed for the new drive-through
• Furnishing and placing bituminous asphalt base material and top modified bituminous asphalt material
• Striping all per current layout
• Maintaining safety measures during construction
The contractor must provide a full-time field superintendent and comply with local bonding and licensing requirements.
